 1. Electronics control unit

The OARYsystem has an Electronics control unit (ECU). The AC power and Motion sensor are connected to it. It controls the speed of the motor and the On and Off functions.

 1. Mount the motion sensor on the side of the cabinet. Low and facing the toilet. We want your foot to activate the sensor.   Choose a route that wires can be easily routed and be out of the way.

 2. In this cabinet, we can run the wires through the lower drawer section and up into the main cabinet to the motor/ECU. Using a 1/4" drill bit. Drill the holes and route the wires.

 3. Mount the motion sensor and connect the wires. Connect wires to ECU.
TIP:
You can use zip ties to bundle up excess wire and pieces of sticky tape to hold wires into place.

The 12V AC power adaptor powers the ECU and all the other components of the OARYsystem.

3. AC adaptor installation

 2. Plug the 12V AC adaptor into a 115V AC outlet.

The OARYsystem will need to be connected to a 115v AC outlet. Most cabinets don't have an AC outlet installed inside the cabinet but there are several options. â€‹

  • AC outlet dropdown Kit* (available Quick Shop).

  • AC outlet extension Kit* (available Quick Shop).

 2. Measure off and mark location of new Dropdown outlet. Drill a 1" hole through the cabinet and drywall into the wall to access wiring. Turn off power to outlet that we are working on.

 3. Remove face plate from top outlet and pull out receptacle/switch. Drill or knockout hole in bottom of outlet. Fish a string down through to the Dropdown outlet.

 4. Pull new wiring for Dropdown outlet. Mount base plate for Dropdown outlet. Strip wires and connect to unswitched wires in top outlet. Connect wiring in Dropdown outlet, install into base plate and attach face plate.

4. install top outlet and face plate. Turn on power to outlet and test.

 AC outlet extension kit*

An AC outlet extension kit lets you run power wires from a remote source (switch or outlet), outside a wall to the desired location without cutting into the drywall.
